Cancellation of NEET will hurt honest students : Centre to SC

The centre has told the Supreme Court that cancellation of the complete NEET examination will hurt lakhs of honest students. This is because no evidence has been found till date of any large scale irregularities. In an affidavit that was filed qua petitions challenging irregularities and malpractices in the exam held on May 5.


“In the absence of any proof of any large scale breach if confidentiality in a pan India examination, it would not be rational to scrap the entire examination as the results are already declared” centre’s submission. It also submitted that the alleged malpractices in the examination were only in Patna and Godhra and its data analysis indicates the sporadic instances of alleged malpractices have not “impacted the of the entire examination. The matter now is listed on the Monday (8 July) before the apex court.



As per NTA, they have thougharily analysed the result of top 100 candidates. And it has been reported that they are distributed across 95 centre located in 56 cities in 18 states. As per the submissions of NTA the result of the students involved in malpractices have been withheld.
